ok , so this just started to happen , when i go into my contacts , it said initilizing , please wait . so i do , then the next day , i go to it to make acall ,and it still says that . . . up to today , its still at taht and i can t view my contacts . any help ? thanks .

Try rebooting the phone.

ok , so i rebooted and nothing .
I tried syncing , but it stays on the arrows going ina cirlce . 5 hrs straight like that . .

How long did you wait before turning the phone back on? When I have this problem, if I don't wait five minutes or so before restarting the phone, I still cannot access my contacts.

You should probably also try removing the battery and popping it back in before restart. That worked for me yesterday.

If not do a master reset.
