I'm not 100% sure on the Razr's dock and how it handles those shortcuts. If there is an open space, you should be able to simply drag a shortcut to that spot and it should stick. If there is another shortcut already there I am not sure if you have to remove it first or just drop a shortcut on top of it. Give it a shot.
(If you don't have a contacts shortcut anymore it is probably because its called "People" now. You should be able to drag it from the app drawer to the homescreen or long press the homescreen and select 'shortcut'.)
Perhaps someone with a Razr can confirm this. I will double check on my wife's phone tonight if I remember!
I verified on my wife's Razr... if there is another icon in the dock you can long press and then drag it to the desktop or to delete it. If there is an empty slot on the dock you can simply long press any icon and drag it to the dock.
