Hi

I have not still ventured to master the features on my new phone yet. But the recurring problem I face is the disappearing images/photos that I set for my contacts.

Can anyone help?

Gaea

Hello and welcome to he forum, we are glad you are here. As for your question, what phone do you have? Also where are you storing your contacts and pictures? Personally I have all of my contacts on gmail, and I added the pictures there. Took a little longer to do, but I have never lost a contact picture since. Once I have your phone model, I will show you where the phone's section is where you will be able t get better assistance.

Hi gaea, welcome to the forums. Can you tell us what device you are using? That will help us point you in the right direction.

Edit - Sniped by James :p

Gaea, how exactly are you setting your contact pictures and have you linked the phone to a facebook account (if you have one)?

Also, the wildfire subforum is located here

James, I first select the photo (from the gallery), and then in the menu settings, I set the image as Contect Icon; I add the phone number, crop the image and save. All in this order. But after a few days... the number stays and the image disappears!

What is wrong?!

Are you creating the contact first, then adding the picture? Also when you create the contact, does it save to the phone or gmail? Try logging into gmail, creating a new contact with a picture and see if it syncs to the phone complete. It sounds like the contact is being saved to the phone or if the phone has one, the sim card. Which could explain why the picture is not saving correctly. There is a way to make the phone always save new contacts to gmail, but I do not know how to so that on your phone. When you look at all of your contacts, some phones will show a small icon next to the name to show where it is saved (sim card, P for phone or G for gmail) does yours tell you?
