contact info sent from iphone

when someone sends contact info via text/mms from an iphone, it shows up as a blank "pic". you can long click the message and it will say "play slideshow" but that's blank too. Anyone know how to get the contact info? Won't give option to download attachment like my GNex did........just slideshow option. Tried forwarding to an iphone but doesn't come up. Anyone know how to get contact info (or vcard I'm assuming) from an iphone?

Try changing your SMS app to Hangouts (settings->more, there is a setting for default messaging app) and see if that's any better.

(I don't know for sure - no iPhone user has ever sent me contact info...)

when I imported to Hangouts, still no go...is it a format issue ie MMS from iphone different format than what Android uses?
