Contact photos and poor quality?

Hello all,

Does anyone else notice that when you receive or make a phone call the picture you have assigned to that contact looks horrible? I've taken pictures with my evo to use for contact pics, and have transferred high quality pics from my computer but no matter what I do the contact pic looks poor quality when they pop up? If there is a fix for this or I'm doing something wrong someone please let me know......

i too have noticed this and am wondering what the deal is with that...i've tried doing the same things you've done and have had no success...hopefully someone has a fix for this...i'm going to post on the tips and tricks thread as well to see if someone knows what's up
 
The ones I pull from Facebook look decent but usually on HTC phones I have had in the past it was due to photos being resized/rescaled improperly by the phone.

I just noticed the same thing yesterday. The pics look really bad
 
I am not sure if its the same issue, but Google/gmail kills the quality of the contact pictures and they end up looking like crap on our phones.
 
Yea this issue gets brought up now and again. Check post #4 in this thread for a solution. Not the easiest solution but it works.
 
This is an Android thing not necessarily HTC .this is my fourth Android phone since the Droid back in November. It really makes the phone look cheapish. On my pre plus I loved how my caller Id looked and appeared on the screen
