Help contact pic help.....

Newbie
Hi, I have my android contacts synced to google contacts. I want my pictures of my contacts to be as crisp and clear as possible bc the screen is nice an large and i do not want to see any blur or it looks bad.

can someone please confirm my theory that to optimize the best quality pic for viewing i should (and this is my hunch)
1) not use any cropped pics
2) use hiquality pics 5mb+
3) anything else

basically i did not pay attention to the above and when i looked at my contact pics today, then looked horroble and blury, or have i done something wrong

tks!

Use a pic taken at the size you want to use. Resizing causes blur. Resizing a very high-def picture will give you worse results than not resizing a low-res picture. (A resized picture is only an approximation of the original, no matter how high-def it was.) That's why pictures on websites often look so bad - the "standard" way of putting a picture on a web page is to specify the height and width, rather than using a picture with that height and width to start with.
