contact pictures

hi all, im looking for some help if anyone can. i got my new sgs3 today and ive been having a bit of a play about with it but i cant set a picture. when i try to set a pic its showing that i dont have anything in the contacts but when i press the contact button on the homscreen my contacts are showing. i dont know where im going wrong. one other thing, is there an htc keyboard that can be used on this phone. i tried a few on my last phone but the only one i liked was the htc one

Do you have your contacts backed up with Google? When you press contacts from the home screen and choose the contact you want to edit there will be the blank pic box that you click and then you should be able to choose from your gallery the image you wish to set.

The free Gingerbread keyboard in the app store is pretty simular to HTC'S

my contacts were just backed up to my sim card. the person in the shop set up the micro sim and put the contacts on. i have imported them myself now and it seems to be working although i now have doubles of all my contacts. i will just have to go through them and delete all the doubles.
