Help contact screen scrolling

I've had my s3 just over a year. A few months ago this started. I'm in my contacts screen and I go to, say the "M" section. Quite often the screen will scroll back up to the top of the list.
Quite a nuisance. I've installed probably 8-10 apps over the last few months. I suppose one of them could be causing the issue, but I really doubt it.
Anyone else ever have this problem?

I Did a different search and might have found the problem. In settings, under motions, I had enabled "Double tap takes u to top of screen"
I disabled that option and I should know in a few days if that fixed it.
