I am looking for a profile/ringtone app that lets you make exceptions of specific contacts ? So for example, I want my phone to ring when specific contacts call me at any time of the day while as if any other contact calls then my phone remains mute . If anyone know such app then please share.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but Group Ringtones will allow you to setup per-group ringtones -- so, you could have one group set to "silent" and another set to your preferred sound.
