Help Contacts Appear after 5 Seconds

hi, for some reason when I access my contacts with the contact button, it takes 5 seconds for my contacts to show up on screen. For me this is really annoying. the only "bandaid" solution was to put on the screen a browser "Search Contacts" which is quite fast.

Does anybody have the same problem? I they did, how to solve?

Its perhaps your contact list is too heavy so that it taked some time to find the required name. Try trimming down the list and see if it helps.
If you usually sync with google contacts, try merging the duplicate contacts. It helps to trim down the long list.

I have the same problem... sometimes it takes more than 5secs.
I have only the phone contacts in display. Excluding Facebook contacts and Google. Still I have a delay displaying the contact list.
I formated the phone, and nothing.
I had the same amount of contacts in my nokia 5800, and never had that problem.

I've had this issue for some time, even with a fast Android Phone (Vibrant). I even trimmed down my contacts, but with no discernible effect on the delay.

Surely the system can handle a hundred or so contacts??

I had 650 contacts adn trimmed to 100 just to test and the same problem.

I'm really frustrated with this phone and seriously looking elsewhere for a better one. thanks.
