Help Contacts disappeared!

All of my contacts have disappeared from my Droid -- as has the calendar synch with my Google calendar. Everything was working for three weeks and today -- all gone. What would cause this and how do I upload contacts from my old phone or Mac calendar?

if you log on to gmail via pc is anything there? Is your phone still associated with your gmail account?
