Hey everyone.
So I've recently rooted my phone (DooGee Latte DG 450) for the first time and been very pleased with the outcome. However, after pretty much only installing and using Titanium BackUp and Apps2SD (to get rid of some apps that did not want to be moved to the SD card, obviously no system apps) I found myself in trouble:
I noticed all my contacts are gone! On my phone, on my SD card, even linked with my account, everything said empty. So I went to Titanium and restored the Contacts App from my backup. Everything was back and well. Now I had to remove my SD card and when I put it back in and started the phone again, not only were my contacts empty again, also the date and time changed to factory settings (Jan 1st 2010 or so).
I tried to restore the contacts yet again by using Titanium, however now it did not solve the problem, it caused more, as both my contacts and the phone app (i.e. where you call someone) crash right when trying to start them (Unfortunately, contacts has stopped working).
Does anybody have any clue what could cause the problem and/or how to solve it? I'm thinking it must be something that I did with Apps2SD that causes all the lost contacts and date reset stuff, as it seems to only occur when I remove the SD card (i.e. maybe some app that I moved was - despite being a user-installed app - closely connected to my contacts and the date and time (first guess would be WhatsApp, which I moved because it takes endless amounts of storage and I only have hardly one GB) and messed something up when I forced it onto the SD card). However, I have no idea why restoring my contacts with Titanium Backup worked like a charm once and now killed my contacts app completely for some reason.
I definitely want to avoid a factory reset for obvious data preservation reasons, and I have tried a lot of things the internet recommends (GMail does not have any copy of my contacts, probably because I don't use GMail on my phone, deleting the data and cache of the contacts app does not work either).
I would appreciate any sort of advice and am certainly cleverer now than to mess with the likes of WhatsApp, which I'm pretty convinced by now is the initial culprit of the whole issue.
