Root contacts have been googled! :/

hi all,

this might not be a truely root section post but i think this issue has just started since ive been rom'ing.

my phone contacts have been messed up with google mail contacts - previously i kept them separate - but not they is all a mess

im guessing the issue occurs when you first setup the phone and it starts syncing before you can get in there and uncheck contact sync :/

is there a way to prevent it?

unfortunately my last backup is full of cr*p too

This won't help now, but I always export my contacts to sd card and restore from there after flashing. I tend to keep a back-up of exported contacts around generally, too.

So far I've not had any issues doing it that way.

I just go into Google on the pc, clean up my contacts then in the phone delete all contacts and set it re sync. Works for me.

yes I had been doing sd backups, but hadn't realised that the last
few backs were stuffed too :-(

just been through them all and cleaned half of them out
