I have a sumsung galaxy S3 and have recently hidden a contact. Have no idea how to find that contact easily now. Do I have to unhide, and if I do how do I do that

First, You should check the settings on your phone. Go into the people app and hit the menu button (the 3 dots). Choose "contacts to display" and make sure they aren't customized in some way that you don't want. I like to sync my contacts with gmail so I customize mine to display "my contacts".

If you are syncing your contacts to gmail, the easiest way check on them is to go into gmail on a computer browser, click on the word "gmail" in the upper left and select contacts. You will then see a menu on the left that lists any contact groups you may have as well as "circles", "my contacts" and "other contacts". If you are syncing your contacts, it is likely that your phone is syncing those contacts listed under "my contacts". See if this person appears under "my contacts" or "other contacts". If there is anyone listed under "other" that you would like to have on your phone, simply click "add to my contacts" at the top.
