Help Contacts issue

Theral

Lurker
Okay - this is driving me insane. When I go into Messages, go to make a new message and click to show possible recipients there are people I've never texted listed.

I've got Gmail, Facebook, and Dropbox accounts entered - facebook isn't allowed to Sync according to my settings, only Gmail.

Some of the contacts are emails, some are emails and phone numbers and I can't seem to clear the list whatsoever. I know they're not a carry over from my old phone because I got a new sim and nothing was transferred - and some of these people/emails I've never heard of or seen before.

Any idea how to get rid of this issue? Or what the hell is causing it? I even went into Gmail and checked my addressbook - it had three entries, which I removed to no effect.

And while I'm having my stupid moment - is there a way to change the default "connection" for new contacts? I didn't mean to set mine to google -.-;

While setting up the phone, it will pull off the gmail, all kind of accounts, as long as you have them in your inbox. You might want to clear your contacts through gmail/contact interface. Also, merge them if certain number has also mail address, simply by selecting the user name with mail address and selecting the respective phone number to go with it. It take a while to sort it all, but once you do it, it's going to be permanent arrangement for future use, and future phones.

As for the "stupid moment", heheheheh.... good one...
go to App Manager, go to Contacts, and at the bottom should be Clear Defaults.

Okay. Feel free to ignore me now. - I think lack of sleep attributed to this. When I went back and looked through all the settings of the accounts I found one that isn't mine listed - which confuses the hell out of me. -.-; The only thing I can think is my brother trolled me when I went by my dad's house the other day, and threw it on my phone.

Sorry for the bother =/
