Contacts manager apps

Hi all,
I am new to Android and since making the change and bringing my previous phone contacts and e-mail contacts and work contacts together they are all over the place.
Is there a good contact manager app available?
Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

I'm not sure of your specific needs in this, but I will offer that if you can use the Gmail web interface (Contacts link is upper left of page as I recall) to import those contacts to Gmail/contacts on the web, your phone will then automatically sync them.

Between csv and vCard files, Google's web import for contacts is mighty handy.

This resource may prove helpful: Google Sync services

Good question... I have over 500 contacts synced with my Gmail account, but I'd like to be able to sort them better on my phone.

I know the stock contacts app has "Favorites" folder, but I'd like to create multiple groups (i.e. Family, Business, etc).

A little research brought up this app... Contact Group Manager - Android app on AppBrain Anyone have experience using it? Feedback looks good and is probably worth the $10.

Actually, here's an alternative - it's a little bit of work - not much in my opinion - you can manage groups on the Gmail/Contact page and then just sync - OR - if you have a desktop contact manager, manage groups there, and then make a single .vcf (vCard) file for the whole she-bang. Import that to the web, then delete duplicates on the web, sync your phone - and suddenly all of your contacts are grouped.

And while I still keep everything up that way, especially for work - this company, that company, yadda yadda yadda - I hardly use it anymore in favor of Google Gesture Search, free in the Market.

Use you finger like a crayon, draw the name by as many letters on screen, active search is quick - and I'm dialing in no time from hundreds of contacts.

Can't comment on the app you mention - I'm not familiar with it, and I'm not trying to discourage use of a good app. Just mentioning alternatives while I'm in the neighborhood. ;)
