Contacts Menu stuff up!!

Hi there

I'm hoping someone can help me. I've got a Galaxy s2 that I've had for a few months and everything was fine and sorted. Now the other day I was looking through my contacts to get a number and all of a sudden I see that I have a whole bunch of contacts (duplicated about 5 times each I might add!) that are unknown to me. Some are even my bosses contacts! Where/why did they come from and how do I remove them without deleting each one individually!

Please explain???? :confused::dontknow:

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I don't know which carrier your on.. so i can't move your thread to where the other users of this device can chime in to assist you. However, if you have your contacts sync to your Google account - and if you have this feature on your phone (import from sd card) you can do the below.

Open up the people/contacts app -> Tap menu -> Import/Export -> Choose import from SD card.
Note: You would've to delete the contacts you now have on the device; otherwise you would have more of the same contacts added to the ones you already have.

Or, you can just delete the dupe contacts manually.
Best of luck. :)
