contacts not syncing

My google contacts have not synced since December 2012. I have a HTC XL1 and I'm with telstra
 
Have you checked you have sync'ing enabled? Go to:

Settings .. Google (under Accounts)

Tap your Google account name and you will see a long list of things to include when sync'ing (I have them all ticked).

You may also need to make sure you have sync'ing enabled - easiest way is to use the Power Widget.
