Help 'CONTACTS' PROBLEM~

PringMay

Lurker
So I was browsing my phone using ES File Explorer (ROOT ON), when I stumbled upon device/system/app. I opened it and found all my system apks in there with their respective .odex. I tried deleting a random .odex, ES File Explorer warned me that once it was deleted, it can never be brought back and I still continued and the odex I deleted turned out to be the keyboard. But I didn't knew then since it didn't have any effect on my phone. So returned to that location and deleted another .odex. It was the contacts. And then the "android.process.acore has stopped" showed up. So I rebooted my phone and then I found out that my contacts is nowhere to be found. Same with the keyboard. Good thing I have TouchPal apk. I tried installing Contacts.apk but it didn't work. I did the restore thing but it didn't work either. Now I can't dial any number. Help anyone? PLEASE? I'm such an idiot. If only there's an undo button.

Find the rom for your phone, reinstall it.

If you can't do that, post in the root forum for your device and see if anyone has those files to share.

Next time you're tempted to play in the /system partition, go to the system32 folder on a Windows pc and delete stuff at random. ;)
