Contacts showing up 3 times

So new Nexus 5. Downloaded contacts to SIM from Note 2. It seems to be pulling contacts from my gmail account plus the contacts from my SIM. Also there is a blank contact. How can I fix this. I also had several contact with more than one number, those don't seem to have come over. Please help.

I would check display options in contacts. Any duplicates you can login to gmail on a PC go to contacts and merge duplicates. Where were the ones your missing saved gmail or the Sim?

The issues were the contacts that came over from my SIM. Which I exported from my Note 2. I've deleted most of the blank contacts, now I have 2 for most everyone. 1 is a email contact and 1 is the phone number. Seems like I should be able to merge them? I'm looking under "people" on my phone.

You can only show what you want in display options if you don't want to try and merge. Just show gmail contacts or phone contacts. People menu key display options. If you don't have a merge option from phone you can do via gmail in email.
