Help Contacts stops working (randomly) Galaxy s 3 sprint

Sometimes my contacts just disappears or just stops working. For example: I try to text a contact, but their number does not show up. I just have to turn off/on (reset) the phone and it works again. I have Chomp sms for texting. Anyone else experiencing this? This happens on my sam s 3 (sprint) and now on galaxy note 2 (sprint).

This happen to me after I updated my phone to Jelly bean I didnt have any contacts I had to restart my phone it work....but after other bugs i factory reset

After factory reset do you see the contacts being more stable?
