Contacts under Google and Device How to edit these entries

I have some contacts that are shown under my contacts listing as being under Google, some under Device and some that are shown under both. If I create a new contact and specify the Device to hold the contacts details

If I might suggest that is going to be cumbersome. Having the contacts just in Google is the safest and most organized way. If the device fails or is replaced your contacts are safe and available. In the contact settings there is a place to choose what list to view.

Separately entering them twice is time consuming. And time consuming to view because list is twice as long.
