Contacts using tons of data

I recently updated a bunch of apps on my phone that I have had for a while. I then started noticing that my battery would not last a half a day. It used to last over a day easily. Then today got a text saying that i have almost reached my 2gb data limit. So I installed the My Data Manager app and it is showing that the Contacts app is constantly communicating with something. I have an corporate exchange account for my email and contacts.
How do i tell what is causing the contacts to constantly communicate?

It sounds like your contacts are constantly syncing which might be the problem. I don't remember how the settings in the Atrix look, but if you open settings, you should have something like "accounts and sync" and if you go into that sub-setting, you can probably adjust how often your accounts sync. It's worth a try.

I have tried disabling the contact sync with my corporate account and saw no difference. The only other contacts on the phone are the built in AT&T ones and the one I used to create my MotoBlur account. Im thinking it may be some corruption in the Motorola or AT&T settings that one of the apps I updated changed??
