Help Contacts won't sync!

Hi guys My nexus one has not been able to sync contacts for 12 days now, each time it starts to sync it goes on for hours, making me unable to use my phones contacts for call and my phone simply becoems unusable i am force to uncheck the sync contacts option and backup contacts to sd card and trasnfer them to google via my pc... I think it started around the time nexus one got the double update in the same day... anyone got any ideas?

Very strange. I would advise to make sure Google on your PC has the contacts you want and then wipe the N1.

Did you change the password on your Gmail account?

If all else failed, backup and factory reset
