When I'm in another app like Gmail and long press something to get the context menu and then tap web search, it always opens up in the Google app. Is there a way to get that to open in Chrome instead?
the answer is no. you can choose which search engine you would want to use, but you can't search in a browser. you can copy whatever you are searching for as @Dannydet suggested and paste into the chrome browser.
