Continually clearing market cache.....

Not sure if this has been posted already. With the 2nd 2.1 leak, does anybody else have this problem? When I check the market in order for me to see any new releases I have to go back into the settings and clear the market cache first before it refreshes and anything new will be shown. This was kind of annoying initially but now its just irritating. Has anyone been through this and have a possible solution?

I clear the market cache about every week. It tends to build up quickly. I haven't seen any functionality issues except some of my downloads don't want to start on the first attempt. Maybe this is related?

I wonder why the market app even needs a cache. It does build up fast like the stock browser cache. And no, I haven't had the issue you describe.

Hmmm...interesting. Is there a setting maybe, theres nothing I know about. All I know is I have to clear the market cache before each visit to the market and with as many visits I make daily its getting quite old.

Never knew there was one myself. I just cleared it though, it was at about 2.7mb and the app itself is only 792kb.

menu>settings>applications>manage applications>market>clear cache

How do you clear the market cache?

You should clear cache from all of your applications periodically. It will keep your Eris from getting laggy. I clear cache (not data) about once a week.

I don't think there's a setting. More programs should be like the Xscope brower - they give an option to clear cache upon exiting the browser.

You shouldn't have to clear cache every time you visit the market. I go quite often and clear mine about once a week.
