Continually connecting to internet

I have recently had a Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i phone and although the backgrond data and auto sync are deactivated the phone is periadically contecting to the internet. What is doing this and can it be stopped so i connect to the internet when i want to

It’s likely to be an energetic app telling the world that you want to buy something. Put something like Connection Manager on your main desktop to have a handy way of killing data when you don’t need it.
