Help Continuous contacts sync

Anyone having an issue of continuous syncing for contacts?

I just performed a factory reset and I understand it could take awhile to get your contacts/calendars/email back but I have had this sync thing rotating for almost an hour for contacts. I only have about 300 contacts but the calendar and emails probably took less than 5 minutes, I'm on wifi with excellent reception.

i would kill wifi and do it over 3g.

My bad, its on 3g not wifi, 4 bars, I thought I had connected.

I deceided to cancel it and I get a message "Sync is currently experiencing
problems. It will be back shortly"

I guess I need to be more patient.

anything new with this? i am having the same problem, and because of it, my phone is overheating adn the battery is being sucked dry really fast... ive just turned all syncing off (but whats the point if sync doesnt work...)

I was having this same problem. Fortunately for me it went away on it's own after the OTA update went through. I couldnt resolve it on my own, and I have seen a few threads that cover this, but no one seeems to know how to fix it.
