contracts slow to open

Hi all,
anyone else find stock contracts a bit slow to open.
I would expect them to immediately open on a device like this :-\

plus when I use the swipe to message feature, the phone
pauses for quite a while. not so good :-(

I too have noticed this and attribute it in part to the phone checking with your Google account each time the contacts open for any possible changes/updates.

Just a guess...

I just tried a factory reset and contacts and dialer are still pretty slow so I think I will just learn to live with it.
