Control an Android Phone with an Android Phone?

Hello distinguished Forum-Members

I have would like to use my "old" HTC Magic to stream audio to my stereo system.

I would like to control the HTC Magic via wifi with my HTC Desire as a remote control.

I'd rather not "root" either phone for fear of bricking.

Any ideas?
