Hi! I hope this question hasn't been beaten to death. I've searched and searched, but I can't seem to find an answer or anything even relating to my issue.
I'm using the native email application (not gmail), linked to a Yahoo! Mail account on my Droid Incredible 2. There, unfortunately, is this ANNOYING little folder called "Conversations" in my email folders. To begin with, I thought it was just logging my Yahoo! Messenger conversations from my Yahoo! Messenger app on my phone. Until, that is, I was on the computer earlier today and I happened to pull up the email app on my phone to clear the 'lil blinky green light that was telling me I had a new email, and to my surprise, my email account (on my phone), had multiple logs of the Yahoo! Messenger conversations I'd had on my computer.
This unnerves the hell out of me. Not only does it flood my inbox with unnecessary messages, but it also is just galling to my sense of privacy. I'm not very paranoid, but knowing my conversations are being forwarded to my phone automatically, and not even having the option (that I've found, at least) to stop it is a bit unnerving.
I'm not sure if this is an issue with Yahoo! or with the native app. I'm about to the point that I'm ready to disable the native app and download something new to use. I have tried going through my Yahoo! Messenger settings, both on my phone and on my computer. I have also checked the available options for my email program on my phone with no success. As a matter of principle and posterity, I'd like to be able to regulate what information my phone is allowed to pull from what sources. If anyone can help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
