Help Convert Korean Galaxy S2 phone to work in the United States

Hello.

I'm currently living in South Korea and own a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone.

I am returning to the US in a few weeks and want to be able to have this phone work on the Sprint network.

I've called their customer service and after being transferred around multiple times, I finally had someone say that it would work, I would just need to take it to a Sprint store to have the conversion done.

I just want a second opinion here before I place full faith on Sprints answer.
