Help Converting Videos and right codecs?

Hi Guys,

I've looked over the S5 Forum for any similar posts to this and could'nt find any so please forgive me if this has already been covered..
A few years ago I had a iPhone 3GS and successfully converted a load of films in the MP4 format to go on my phone. Then I switched to a Sony Xperia S and they also worked on that...my problem is that the films I now have on my S5 some do work and others refuse to completely and I cannot understand why because they're all in the same format! Every film I try and convert now never works and I'm tearing my hair out, please help!!!

Try a different video player. MX works on quite a few codecs.

Still the same with the MX player...don't fancy paying for an app if it doesn't work. Funnily enough the videos work ok on the phones memory but obviously cannot keep them on there due to the S5's pathetic size memory..

All paid apps come with a free version. use the search function, this is the same one, but with adverts on it.

Mmm...that didn't work either..I cannot understand why the videos would work on the phones internal memory and not on SD card..I've formatted it correctly, all my music works great.
Can you recommend a blu ray and/or dvd ripper software for the S5? That may help..does anyone know the exact settings for ripping a movie to an S5? All options considered..

Now music files downloaded to phone then transferred to SD card don't work...anyone got any ideas please?
