Help Cool down warning

I am having a series of problems with my Razr. I get regular messages with a vibrating notification that the phone is entering cool down phase. It stays that way for usually less than 30 seconds but is locked during that time. I originally though this was from keeping it in my pocket during the day but it does it even when laying on a desk. If i can't carry the phone in my pocket i don't want it, that was the reason for getting the slim size. Anyone else experiencing anything similar? Thanks.

Check to see if there are any apps that are constantly running in the background and/or using data. I posted a thread a few days ago regarding Motorola Services draining up my battery and heating up the phone. My phone would get extremely hot when this happened. Maybe you're having a similar situation.
