Root Copy a gold card?

Hi all, I'm about to create a gold card as I'm on Orange, now I've read and read and confused and confused myself! Am I right in thinking that once I've created a gold card it is specific to that micro sd card, i.e. I can not just take a backup of it and copy it onto another card?

The rest seems straight forward enough, just want to get this bit right.

No. As long as you keep your gold card image from the PSAS website, you can use it again and again to regold your card if it ever gets broken. Partitioning your card will ungold it by the way.

Did I read this correctly?
The gold card image generated uses the CID number from the microSD card first used. That same image shouldn't work on another microSD card, even if it has similar characteristics.

You must get and use a specific image for your card every card has an unique CID. If your gold card gets broke, there is nothing stopping you using the same specific image again to re-gold it.

I think our confusion came from the original question posted by 999life. He asked:

In which case, the answer is NO. He cannot use the image created for card 1 in card 2.

You have answered correctly (but not specific his question) that he can however use the same image on the same card over and over again.

It's early indeed.
