copy google contacts to phone

I created a contact in my google contacts. I want to move this contact to phone. How do i do this?

why would you want to do that? Its better to keep the contacts on google servers

and there isn't an easy way of doing it, other than exporting your google contacts to CSV and importing them from your SD card

I wanted to do it because thats the only way i can put contacts into different groups and assign custom ringtones..would love to do this straight from google contacts but captivate does not allow..so you are saying that i should go to my contacts from PC and export the contacts to a csv file and then send the csv file to my email.and save it in sd card and then import from it? i did this before but i forgot..i thought there is an easy way too..
