copy/paste/email

Can't seem to highlight or copy/paste (tap/hold) on screen within email messages received.. what am I doing wrong?

I don't think you can...but I might be wrong but I only think you can copy text that's in a "text entry" field.

So a work around is to click reply, then you scroll into the text below, select, copy, etc then cancel the reply. But someone please correct me if I'm wrong on my first point.
