copy/paste in google talk?

on the droid, seems I need to press shift and select text in emails at least. Friend of mine sent me a url link in google talk the other night and it wasn't clickable, so i tried to copy - no go. Anyone know what other option there is to copy/paste in other apps?

Hmmm I will see if I can figure that out for you.

EDIT: Sorry, no luck here. But I did find out you can just swipe back and forth to go through different conversations.
