Help Copying a video from phone to pc

I have taken a video on my xperia but cannot transfer it to my pc, when I go to media go it says that this format is not supported, how can it be not supported when I recorded it on the phone?
The video doesn't show in media go in "videos" only in "other!" i have tried the "re-scan, as advised but this doesn't have any effect, it is in mp4.
 
Thanks, I can now see it in the library in media go and can play it of my phone is plugged in, i can see the file in the media go file in my pc but if i try to play it I get the message "please install apple application support.
1. I can't find this download
2. I am totally anti-apple and don't want any i-stuff on my pc, the whole point of my getting an xperia.
Any suggestion sanyone?

You could download VLC media player i like it more than most viewers for music/videos and it support a lot of formats.Including mp4
