copying external sd is slow?

I am copying about 7000 files a total of 5 GB. However, it is taking something like 5 hours. Is this normal transfer rate for the note? Or does my micro sd card has very bad performance?

7000 files? No wonder that's slow. Copying thousands of smaller files would be slower than copying ten or twenty files of same aggregate size.

And yes, copying 5 GB of that amount of files could be that long. It's a combination of micro-SD speed, Note's USB transfer speed, and the cable.
