Copying for phone rto pc

I have a question, i am new to the android system but i was wondering if there was a way i could copy my sms to the computer from my hero....please help going through a divorce and could use information off phone

sorry to hear about the circumstances, but you can download SMS Backup from the Market for free. It backs up your SMS to your Gmail account and puts them in a folder called SMS. It threads them too (like regular Gmail). The only drawback is that it appears to keep the phone awake at all times. Worse case scenario, you download it, back up and delete it until you need to backup again, then just DL again.
