Help copying OS from one phone to another

Have a Galaxy Prevail 2 that the OS crapped out on, got the verizon version (ring) OS on it bt really need to get the boost version back. I brought my daughter a prevail 2 with a bad esn for christmas (so she can only use it on the wifi) and was wanting to know if there is a way i can copy the os from her phone to mine, (the verizon version causes so many problems because i have service with boost)

in order to put a ROM on your device you will need to have a custom recovery on the device. But to copy the os from her phone to yours is not going to work.

Hi and welcome to the forum, it's actually really simple if both phones have cwm installed

Step 1
-make a backup with the 'good' prevail 2 using CWM

Step 2
-restore the backup on the 'bad' prevail 2

Step 3 (optional, but recommended)
-do a factory reset

If you need me to elaborate on any of these steps, just ask :)

Edit - also, this is a link to your device's section where others who own your phone may be able to answer you more quickly
