Apps Copyright issue in Android App

Hi,
If my e-book application use many content of books and websites without any citation , is that legal ? Should i cite them ? How do i cite them in my app ?
I saw many e-book apps on android market don't have citation, despite of them using many copyrighted content.
I need your opinion about this issue.

Where are you located? Each country has different ways of dealing with copyright. Some have a fair use doctrine, others don't. There's a lot more besides.

There is a fuzzy line here... If you are making an e-book reader, you can usually get away with things, because you aren't actually providing copyrited content. The people who produce the ebooks are the ones who need to worry about that.

If your app contains copyrighted material, it might be illegal to distribute it. Perhaps more important, Google wouldn't allow it to be distributed through Google Play.

Providing the sources for such material in your app doesn't magically make this go away. You should understand the differences between plagiarism and copyrights.
