Corporate Email Unread Count

I've tried searching a bit for this, but I am having an issue with my Corporate Email.

At work, if I get an email I will read it. But when I check my phone later, it still shows the alert of the new message. I'll open the Email app, and it'll update itself. But it's a little annoying.

Sidebar, is there a way to just show unread messages in that app?

Thanks everybody :)

Yes it is set to PUSH.

I really dislike the Email stuff on this phone. I have 3 separate email accounts and I like them separately. Granted I took a BIG jump, but on my Incredible I could at least have my Gmail and Exchange on separate widgets

lots of variables impact how quickly exchange reconciles with the phone. sometimes i open a message in outlook and it shows read on the phone in a few seconds, then sometimes it takes longer.

the email widget on my galaxy nexus would allow me to separate accounts, but the s4 doesn't. no biggie though. if you tap on the account heading at the top of the email widget it will cycle through all the accounts you have set up and show you a combined mode. not the same as having them separate, but makes do.

Gmail and exchange can still be separate.

I don't like the GMail App. It's just an aesthetics thing. I'm 'ok' with the separately combined inbox's. I did like the separate widgets, though. I didn't use the Gmail app before, and I could have separate widgets.

Is there a way to only show unread messages in an inbox? In the Email App?
