Corporate Solution

Hey,

If this is the wrong forum for this question, then my apologies.

We're are looking for a corporate solution, and had a few questions.

I have done some searches and seen that Android does support Activesync, which is good.

1. Any known issues with policies being pushed or applied (remote wipe, locking the phone, etc...)? What, if any 3rd party apps are required to get Activesync configured with policies?
2. I've seen some posts of users trying to bypass security policies. Is this possible?
3. Does Android support MS CRM?
4. Is any data stored on Google servers without the user's knowledge?
5. Is it true that any app can be uploaded to the Marketplace? Is there anything in place to screen for malicious software?

I appreciate any input.

Thanks
Mike

FWIW, I don't believe there are Android phones that support encryption at the hardware level. So, they aren't ideal for corporate use simply for that reason (if you are concerned about securing your data that is).

This should be changing. Some of the newer phones due to come out this year should have hardware level encryption.
