correcting text when composing an email?

suppose i'm done composing an email/text and i notice a spelling mistake or i forgot a word and i want to go back is there an easy way to get back to that specific spot??

for ex i will press on an area close to the mistake, but i am not able to get to the exact spot without having to delete a bunch of text and retype.thanks in advance

Some some phones are easier to navigate than others in this regard. Also some alternative keyboards have arrow keys you can access, I know skype does as well as Hacker's Keyboard

This is why I love the N1 trackball. It's a shame there is a general movement in the industry away from trackballs/min trackpade/direction sensor things just for aethetics. :\
