Costom text tone.

I only got my Galaxy Ace 2 days ago so bear with me lol.

I've been trying to customise my phone by adding my own ringtones and text tones. I downloaded Ringdroid and managed to set ringtones but I can't see an option for text tones.

I've tried moving what I want as a tone into a folder like someone suggested in another thread but it doesn't seem to be working, is there another way or am I just doing it wrong?


And of course by "Costom" I meant "Custom" I just don't proof read lol.

When you save your tone in Ringdroid, save it as a Notification not a ringtone.

Ikensteins way of changing your message ringtone works, but what if you want a separate notification ringtone??? Well, that's where go sms pro comes in.

Go sms pro is a free app which acts as a replacement for the stock sms app. It is so much better than the stock app and it gives you so much more options to set. One of those options being message ringtone.

Install the app, open it and press the menu button on your phone, click settings then click the advanced tab. Then click notification settings and in that list, there is an option to change just the message ringtone. You can also customise the notification icon which is nice.

And an even better thing is that you can set custom ringtone separately for your contacts.
