The same case that was so lopsided in the results here was heard in Korea and Japan with much different verdicts.

And the results are already in - the jury foreman, a patent holder whose patent might be used by Apple, swayed opinions, but more importantly, due to that influence, the jury ruled contrary to our laws and contrary to their own findings from one section to the next.

Its kind of funny apple wants to do this. I have a good feeling about this as the features can be removed via software update
 
Thanks early Mon your advice is soothing lol but either way I have a bad feeling don't want to sound negative im guessing this new lawsuit will take time I just hope Metro releases this phone fast

According to the article is not a simple software change apple wants to mess with Google I hope they go down hard
 
Apple messed with an established feature on my phone. Regardless that we could do it on our PCs for years before the Apple patent, a text link couldn't be be selected and a choice given me to view in browser, maps, youtube, whatever.

A quick root mod and I have that functionality back to use it most every day.

Then came the later Google case, and they pushed an update to restrict Google search.

A day or two later, USA Galaxy Nexus rooted users re-installed the fix to the old functionality.

Various models from both sides have been the target of a successful embargo. In every case, the embargo was lifted with a software change.

See where I'm going here??

After reading the article a bit further lol, none of these patents are even harmful and can be proven to be quite different from what apple has pantent. For an example, the S3 has about 3-4 different ways you can unlock the phone besides slide to unlock. This is just their way of trolling. I hope the court calls them out on this as they are being childish now.
 
PS - there was even a finding before to restrict Samsung for the shape and appearance. Major embargo loomed.

And that was later thrown out.

apple is just scared because they know android is beating them @ everything. they have nothing better to do than to ban phones so they're products will sell. they're PATHETIC to me @ this point. never owned an apple product & NEVER will. they're overrated & dated. btw i have the gs3 from t-mobile. "best phone i've ever owned" & will only get better once they release jb for it, hopefully metro gets it too.

Sho nuff,

All of apples ridiculous patents, through the appeal process, will be invalidated like they have in every other country they've tried this case in.

Apple will then have to face it's worst nightmare. Going into a highly competitive market and actually competing.

They will fail, and they will be gone... Again.

So I agree with you. There's no need to panic.
 
Ititll be wose for Apple. Not only will they be forced to compete in a competitive market. Thyll be forced to compete in one where they've pissed off haf their potential suppliers. :D

I read that too.

I also read that Samsung is a major parts supplier to Apple.

I kinda wonder if at some point, for some buyers, the choice comes down to which brand to buy Samsung parts in.

Tell me again who really ends up paying all of these legal fees for all of these cases that tie up our courts and ultimately don't really change anything??

yeah hopefully they do. i have the s3 on t-mobile , previously had thee esteem, if you guys get it your gonna love it, it blows thee esteem & everything else in the market out of the water.

true, i heard that samsung makes their screens, & that it made their a5 chip on the 4s.

I understand it,

Samsung saying "two can play that game".

I want it all to stop. The courts need to throw all this Crap out. All these patents are stupid, from both sides.
