Root Could you guys help me?

Im usually pretty experienced when it comes to flashing roms and stuff like that but i recently tried flashing cm9 when i didnt realize i had a new version of hboot and now when i ever i try flashing a new rom or restoring a nandroid backup on 4ext it says it successfully did it but when i reboot it puts me on a boot loop on the htc splash screen, please help?

Downgrade hboot, delete hboot from SD Card from other device or PC, Wipe all Partitions except SD Card, Reboot Recovery, Then flash Rom of choice

I think i figured it out, i think my boot.img is messed up im trying to flash a new one right now ill tell you how that goes and THANK YOU for your roms they are great!
