Couldn't be happier with the members of this forum

I'm a relatively new member on two other forums, RX8Club.com - Powered by vBulletin and the playstation forums. Just about every time I post on either one, I get a 1:4 ratio of helpful vs. arrogant responses. 1 representing helpful. I always search before I post, give as much info as I can when asking for help, and people act like I should already know the answer to the question I post. I was recently even personally insulted on the Rx-8 forum for not doing enough research on an intake SOMEONE GOT ME FOR CHRISTMAS? haha

I love that on this forum, when I see a new member post for the first time, this ratio is reversed. Everyone is great about welcoming them and helping them get started.

Keep up the good work mods/guides/members!
 
I agree with ya here though alot of other forums im on are full of arrogant ... people... yourcobalt whichi go to for tips/mods on my car is about the same with your 1:4 ratio.
 
Great buddy! Ja the people around here are awesome! Very helpful people around here, but somehow i have got a feeling i am not liked here but could just be my imgination lol :) .

But ja these forums have got really nice people on them :)

You know i used to be called "The Joker" at school cause i was a bit "loony" hahahhaha lol :)

@ Kelmar, Ja i have not had a shower for about 3 days because i am going for a guinness world record! I am trying to go for the most days without a shower lol :) Thanx buddy!
 
LOL I am in a mobile forum filled with Nokia and ex-Nokia users, and a mod ina smaller forum with the same guys :)
Most people there are from SE asia and the Indian SC; you get multiplethreads asking for Symbain^3 on their Symbain^1's and for Android on their Symbain^3's
Then I get flamed when people demand Flash 10.1 on teir N8 and I explain Nokias crappy ARMv6 doesnt support it

I prefer here by a fair stretch

Isn't it about time for someone to say something arrogant and unhelpful? I wouldn't want to mess up the statistics.
 
I've gotta agree. I spend most of my bored time here and I don't even use an Android phone any more (I'm an iPhone user..... GASP! ;))

I'm on two other forums, one being Apple based which reflects the ratio you've described and a Nissan forum that has an atmosphere more similar to this one.

Hang with ricers then you get the ricer attitude :p. I have seen it in my Dakota forums to. Many people just need to learn the dont want to be helpful? Then dont bother posting. I try to help anyone. Even if I repeat the same thing 300 times.

I also find this site very understanding and patient with its users. When I wanted to root my droid I must of asked 4 million questions. Never got a negative response ever.

Plus I would like to add the Mods are top notch and the ones I have encountered are great and fun to talk to. Even that earlymon guy:eek::p

hell my mom could probably even root her phone with less then 4 questions!

I remember when people used to help themselves, and not look for help off everyone :mad:
 
I got to say...I never understood negative posting. I mean seriously, it takes more time and effort to write and post, 'look this up *blah blah blah*' crap. I mean if you take the time to post something, post something helpful. Or at least throw in some links to help them at least!

I was actually planning to dilute it with the spirit of the season ... or was that seasonal spirits? Doesn't matter, either will be effective.

Not to mention that the forum itself offers related threads to view before submitting the questions. You have to assume that a question, no matter how obvious to some was still unanswered, so why not just answer it?

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime, lecture a man about fishing and you are both hungry.
